The Department of Agriculture-National Dairy Authority’s (DA-NDA) under the US PL480 project Intensified Community-Based Dairy Enterprise Development conducted an orientation for the prospective recipients of dairy cattle last 11 March 2022 at CDOC Mambuaya Barangay Hall in District 1, Cagayan de Oro City.

The orientation was attended by 11 participants composed of individual farmers and some members of the Mambuaya Irrigators Association. Initial evaluation of the prospective beneficiaries (farm and farmer) will follow, as well as technical training on forage and pasture development.

Ms. Shanette Rojas, the Community Organizer of the DA-NDA PL480 Project Northern Mindanao Department-Project Management Team (NMD-PMT), led the orientation that included the criteria for choosing the recipients, the steps in obtaining the program, and the project’s impact on economic development, nutrition, and herd inventory. The said orientation was in coordination with the Office of Congressman Rufus Rodriguez and the Office of the Barangay Mambuaya, District 1, Cagayan de Oro City.
