The Department of Agriculture-National Dairy Authority Visayas Department (NDA-Visayas) launched this year’s first Milk Feeding Program (MFP) activity for the whole country last June 13, 2022 at the President Manuel Roxas Memorial Elementary School, in Roxas City, Capiz.
The Schools Division Offices (SDOs) of Capiz and Roxas City both achieved remarkable accomplishments in the implementation of the School Based Feeding Program (SBFP) – Milk Feeding component as they are always the first to implement and complete the MFP in the Visayas region for 2019, 2020 and 2021.
For 2022, SDOs Capiz and Roxas City achieved another milestone as they are the first SDOs to implement the first MFP for the whole country with 27,699 beneficiaries for Capiz and 5,352 for Roxas City.
As part of the launch, fifty (50) elementary school children joined the event and received 200ml milk sachets supplied by Prima Cow’s Milk from Ibajay, Aklan, a paNDAiry nutribun along with NDA coloring books and crayons.
Gracing the event were NDA Administrator Dr. Farrell Benjelix C. Magtoto, NDA-Visayas Department Manager Monina G. Mangubat, OIC-Assistant Manager Vicente Bitolinamisa III and NDA’s National Milk Feeding Coordinator Joshua S. Lomuntad. Joining them are the DepEd Schools Division Superintendents Dr. Roel F. Bermejo for Roxas City and Dr. Miguel Mac D. Aposin for Capiz.
