LOOK: Some 56 imported dairy goats from the United States have safely arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Friday, March 11, 2022. These animals were immediately transported to Magalang, Pampanga, for the mandatory quarantine before animal distribution to selected farmer-beneficiaries. Present to witness the arrival of the animals was Ms. Rowena Bautista, National Project Coordinator.
The distribution of dairy goats to selected farmer-beneficiaries is part of the Department of Agriculture-National Dairy Authority’s (DA-NDA) Intensified Community-Based Dairy Enterprise Development project funded by the United States under the US PL480 program. The project aims to develop the local dairy goat industry and boost local milk production.
