7. Emergency Animal Health Services

Response in emergency animal situations is critical in sudden appearance of abnormal behavior, signs of distress, accidents and deaths.  NDA Veterinarians are instructed to respond to these cases in order to alleviate the condition.  In the case of deaths, NDA Veterinarians are required to document and determine cause of death for its reporting to the Regional and Central Offices, and to the Commission of Audit.  It is also necessary to determine if the herd is at risk of a contagion. 

Usually, the client bears the cost of drugs and biologics.  However, all NDA Veterinarians carry an ample supply of drugs in order to better respond to the circumstances.
