Mallig Dairy Cooperative inaugurates its new processing plant in Isabela
Mallig Dairy Cooperative, an assisted cooperative of the National Dairy Authority (NDA), has recently inaugurated its milk processing plant in Isabela on June 27, 2020.
The said facility, which has the processing capacity of 300 liters of milk a day, is seen to further boost the milk industry in the province and provide more livelihood opportunities to its residents.
Leading the inauguration ceremony was Isabela Governor Rodito T. Albano III along with Vice Governor Faustino Dy, Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office (DA-RFO 2)-Regional Executive Director Narciso Edillo, and Mallig Mayor Jose P. Calderon.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Albano expressed gratitude to the NDA for its assistance in expanding the dairy development projects in the province including the dispersal of 75 heads of dairy cattle in Mallig and 100 heads in Cabagan as well as the ongoing milk feeding program in the province which benefits not only the dairy farmers but also its local residents.
The inauguration ceremony culminated with a milk toast participated by the dignitaries of the event and the beneficiaries of Mallig’s milk feeding program.
