The National Dairy Authority-Northern Mindanao Department (NDA-NMD) Manager Jester John P. Jadap visited the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 10 last May 13, 2022 to hand over the Certificate of Appreciation to Regional Director Alfonso P. Alamban for assisting dairy farmers’ cooperatives in developing their dairy milk products.

To further enhance our cooperative’s efforts, the DOST presented Community Empowerment thru Science & Technology (CEST) and Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP), two of their main programs that can potentially help the local dairy farmers. CEST is a package of Science & Technology interventions that aims to build progressive, empowered, and resilient rural communities, while SETUP is a nationwide strategy to encourage and assist micro, small and medium scale enterprises (MSMEs) in adopting technological innovation aim to enhance operational efficiency, and boost productivity and competitiveness among dairy farmers.

With these developments, the NDA hopes to push for more convergence, innovation, and product development geared towards the #ONeDAiry revolution.
