In its commitment to transparency and accountability, particularly in the conduct of its procurement activities, the Department of Agriculture-National Dairy Authority (DA-NDA) held a two-day webinar on Republic Act (RA) No. 9184, also known as the “Government Procurement Reform Act” (GPRA), and its 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) on August 18-19, 2021.

Invited as resource person was Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) Recognized Trainer on RA No. 9184 and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Internal Affairs Division Officer-in-Charge Chief Atty. Anthony Raymond M. Velicaria.

During the webinar, Atty. Velicaria discussed the salient and updated provisions of RA No. 9184 and its 2016 IRR. He also tackled the roles and responsibilities of the actors involved in the procurement process.

Around 80 participants composed of the DA-NDA Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) members, BAC Secretariat, technical working groups, and end-users from both the central office and the regional departments attended the webinar.
