The Department of Agriculture-National Dairy Authority (DA-NDA) held on July 28, 2021 a webinar titled “Forage Development” as part of its DairySkwela program which uses the online platform to provide existing and potential dairy farmers with useful information and good management practices for successful dairy production.
Invited as a resource speaker was Dr. Hector Baruc, National Program Coordinator of the Intensified Community-Based Dairy Enterprise Development project, and an expert in forage management and dairy nutrition.

In the webinar, Dr. Baruc presented various types of recommended grasses and legumes for dairy animals and discussed the steps in establishing forage as well as the common problems in forage development.
