Last July 6, 2022, a total of 104 dairy goats were distributed to farmer organizations in the Province of Batangas under the Dairy Goat Establishment Program funded by the Office of Senator Cynthia A. Villar. Four (4) farmer-beneficiaries of Quilo-Quilo North Farmers Association (QQNFA) from Padre Garcia received a 54 Anglo Nubian does while five (5) farmer-beneficiaries of Guinhawa Farmers Association from Tuy received fifty 50 does of the same breed.

Thorough social and technical preparation prior to the distribution was steered by the Department of Agriculture – National Dairy Authority South Luzon Department (NDA-SLD) through Mr. Jomark Masongsong, Dairy Technician I and Focal Person of the expansion project. These include farm and farmer’s profiling and evaluation, conduct of technical training on Dairy Goat Husbandry as well as the forage and pasture establishment through provision of corn seeds.

On July 13, 2022, a ceremonial turnover was initiated by the Local Government of Tuy, Batangas which was attended by the Local Officials and Municipal Agriculture Office of Tuy, Congressman Eric Buhain, Former Congresswoman Eileen Ermita-Buhain, representatives from Department of Agrarian Reform, representative of Senator Villar and NDA-SLD personnel headed by Dr. Gabriel L. Lagamayo.
